Supporting Our Partners, Supporting Our Community

On November 17, 2022, CCI Group attended the Black & White After-Hours fundraiserorganized by the Orlando Center for Justice (OCJ). The event unfolded at 520 on the Water, a quaint, country-themed venue on Lake Monroe, in Sanford. At the event, attendees from several local organizations came together to participate in the silent auction, network, and enjoy themselves while supporting OCJ and its noble cause.

On the surface, the OCJ is a non-profit organization that provides legal assistance to those who cannot afford legal representation. And yet, while networking with the OCJ team and discovering more about how the organization supports and advocates for the most vulnerable children and adults of our communities, one sees the OCJ in a different light: As the unsung heroes and champions for human dignity.

Their focus and dedication to helping those in dire need are commendable and inspiring. And by the same token, the children, men, and women the OCJ stand by and advocate for, inspire us with lessons on resilience, humanity, and overcoming adversity. CCI Group is proud to support the OCJ in its mission by providing the organization and their clients with interpretation and translation services in different settings. In the past, we provided remote simultaneous interpretation services at a 5K event called “Love Out Loud” with the proceeds going to support the overall mission of the organization. Our interpreters provided language access in Spanish so all attendees could understand the message in the language of their choice.

Indeed, the Black & White After Hours Fundraising was a success at many levels–good attendance, flawless organization, delicious food, and a lively crowd. But, more importantly, it allowed attendees to participate in building a better society where no one is left behind and everyone is encouraged to thrive. CCI Group is honored to have been a part of this event and to contribute to such a noble cause.
