The American Marketing Association at the University of Central Florida invited us to share our journey and insights into the world of interpreting, translation, and our journey as a company with marketing. Last week our CEO, Indy Vega, visited UCF very large campus while I had the privilege of joining remotely from Mexico City. As a proud graduate of the UCF Business Incubator program, an experience that significantly shaped our company’s growth, this presentation held special meaning for us. Though I wish I could have been there in person to interact more closely with the participants, it was inspiring to see the enthusiasm and engagement from these future business leaders, even through a virtual connection.
During our presentation, we shared the origins of CCI Group, taking students through our beginnings as a small team of one, with big dreams. We discussed the incredible progress we’ve made, overcoming challenges, learning from each step, and building the foundation that has helped us grow into a trusted name in the language industry.
One of our key focuses was on the importance of understanding and addressing language barriers. As a company specializing in interpretation and translation, we know that bridging cultural and linguistic gaps is essential in today’s world. We shared how critical it is for us—and how rewarding it can be—to bring people together through our work.
Our company culture was another highlight of the presentation. CCI Group is a place where passion meets positivity, and we are proud to see how much the entire team makes an effort to interact in meaningful ways, getting to know each other as people and not simply as bodies that deliver results. We even joked that one of our hiring principles is “no grumpy people allowed!” This positivity is a driving force behind our success.
As a marketing graduate myself, I was thrilled to see so many young marketers energized by our story and stayed afterwards for a conversation with our CEO. Their questions and engagement made us realize the impact that sharing our journey could have.
Their enthusiasm was contagious. To keep the excitement going, we ended our talk with a fun contest for the students, and they all came through with brilliant ideas. It was a great way to wrap up an inspiring session and connect with them. Congratulations to DaVon Holloway, the winner of this competition.
The engaging Q&A session with these bright students proved to be enlightening for everyone involved. Their thoughtful questions and genuine interest in our company led us to explore an exciting possibility: participating in UCF’s internship program. We’re thrilled about the prospect of welcoming some of these talented students to our team in 2025, where they can gain hands-on experience in marketing, translation, and interpretation.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to all the participants for their enthusiasm and insightful questions that made this session not just a presentation, but a valuable exchange of ideas that opened new doors for collaboration. We can’t wait to go back!
